The grants programme is administered by Staffordshire County Council and funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The Rural Enterprise Programme offers grants of between £10k and £65K to help SME’s grow their workspace. It may include converting or refurbishing redundant and under-utilised buildings or constructing new workspaces to help increase productivity and create jobs.
The Programme operates across rural areas of Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire and includes the hub towns of Leek, Rugeley , Cheadle, Uttoxeter and Stone.
Eligible end uses include manufacturing, creative industries or service businesses and office premises.
Unfortunately, grants are not available for retail, tourism, agriculture or residential end uses.
Eligible businesses must be operating predominantly on a business to business basis.
I am looking at ways of promoting this grants scheme far and wide across the county. So I was wondering if you thought there would be any opportunity to promote the Programme within the WiRE network or further afield. I would be happy to attend any events or meetings as appropriate.
The Programme runs until June 2019 and is worth £5 million to the economy.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I have attached a promotional leaflet and a factsheet with further information.
The web address for the Programme is www.staffordshire.gov.uk/REP
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Hilary
