WiRE Member Market Place Guide

memberdirectoryThe WiRE Market Place is an online directory of WiRE members’ products and services that anyone can view. After the home page, it’s the most visited page on the WiRE website, not only by people looking to buy rural products and services but also by WiRE members looking for other WiRE members.

All WiRE Members have a FREE profile page on the WiRE Market Place; it’s another way to market your business and a great way to help people find you. This guide contains the detailed instructions needed to make the most of your Marketplace profile. Before you start you will need:

  • An idea of what you want to say! The search box on the site looks at everything, so write about yourself, your product, your offer, say where you are based, the area you cover and anything else you can think of.
  • A photograph; it’s really easy to attach a photo and logo to your Market Place listing but you will need to have one on your computer so that you can browse and upload and a small file size works best (about 5k). If you don’t know how to crop or resize images to the size you want, there’s a great guide here which shows you how to do it in Microsoft Paint: https://vle.york.ac.uk/bbcswebdav/institution/E-Learning%20Development%20Team/Guides/MSPaint_Crop-Resize.html

Eight Easy Steps to Success
