MO is a partnership with a small team of Associates. We’ve worked together for many years and share a passion to do what we can to help people better understand themselves and each other and to communicate effectively.
Why do we do what we do?

We do it because we have seen, so often, the positive changes that happen in peoples lives and relationships when the skills of compassion for and awareness of self and others are practiced and honed through our behaviour and communication.

What do we do?

We offer training and teaching around communication skills, understanding and managing behaviour, sexual health, consent and safer relationships, mental health and substance use. Much of our work to date has been in support of children & young people and those who work with, care for or parent them.

As training consultants we can also support policy development, design bespoke training events and facilitate longer-term practice development projects and team building.

We are now developing our offer to focus on a combination of three key tools – compassionate communication, solution focus and permaculture ethics and principles.

How do we do it?

Training and teaching includes time for people to reflect, develop skills and build confidence.  Our materials are continually reviewed and updated to reflect current research and understanding and we like to creatively use a variety of interactive and reflective methods in our facilitation.

In professional settings we ensure that the content reflects organisational policies and procedures and is tailored to the specific needs of the team and the organisation.

In education settings we facilitate lessons (primary, secondary and some special needs), present at INSET days, lead parents evenings and support creation of lesson plans and schemes of work in our focus topics.

In private or domestic settings we aim to create safe and open forums that allow people to express their own ideas, perhaps with a group of friends, whilst we support discussion and offer alternative perspectives (we call this ‘MO@home’)

Where do we do it?

We are individually based in Wiltshire and Oxfordshire and work mainly across those counties but are very happy to travel further afield.
