Welcome, I’m Faith Cross (yes this is my real name!) and I am an accredited funeral celebrant, working in Staffordshire and South Derbyshire.
I was inspired to train as a Civil Funeral Celebrant when I participated in the planning and delivery of my mother’s funeral ceremony in 2016. I undertook national training with www.civilceremonies.co.uk and qualified as a funeral celebrant in 2016.
I have been rigorously trained to deliver the following:
I design a highly personal bespoke ceremony that meets the wishes of all those involved; an original ceremony which reflects the character, life and achievements of the individual, and provides the opportunity for the bereaved to remember, and say farewell.
In my previous career I worked in education with a focus on Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND). I am qualified in Speech, Language and Communication and also in nurture and well-being. Communication is key in all roles and I believe I have acquired transferable skills which I bring to this vocation.
