Hola! Spanish Night raises charity cash in East Staffs

At WiRE Burton we are proud to be raising money throughout 2019 for our chosen charity of the year, the Midlands Air Ambulance.

At every meeting we have a collecting tin for loose change from our members and visitors. Fundraising events organised so far have included a Forever Living home party, an adult cookery class and a share of proceeds from the sale of Wellbeing at WiRE Derby deskpads.

On Thursday, June 20, from 7pm, I’m hosting my own event at one of my favourite local restaurant and coffee shops, the delightful Sloans Kitchen, on the outskirts of Burton-on-Trent.

I’ve booked the venue for the night and hosts Hayley and Tony will be putting on their popular Spanish night menu. Tickets will cost £32 each. Early booking and payment are recommended because places are limited. A donation from each ticket sold will go to the charity as will all the proceeds from a raffle on the night. Sloans has kindly donated afternoon tea for two and we’ve had great prizes donated by WiRE members Lorraine Holden, Louise Grey and Lisa Satchwell.

If you would like to come along, please contact me for details of how to book and pay. If you are on Facebook, you can find more about the event here.
