All women venture creating Vegan first (+ Discount for WiRE Members)

WiRE women are supporting an innovative Vegan health snack as Energy Ball Recipes goes from strength to strength with an all female team.

Innovative Vegan health snack Energy Ball Recipes is the brain child of WiRE member and former group leader Victoria Prince.

The UK’s first energy ball recipe kit the nutritious snacks are gaining popularity as consumers look for a healthy, easy to make snack they can eat on the go in lunch boxes, commuting or even training.

The former WiRE Doves leader who is a passionate supporter of women in enterprise, said the networking group had been instrumental in supporting her new venture.

She said: “WiRE Doves have always been very supportive of my business and my local Derbyshire group is one of the first places I shared my new concept.

“It is great to work with so many fellow WiRE members who have all been able to offer specialist sets of skills needed to help the business grow.

“It is brilliant as women to be able to support one another in business and help each other to reach our goals.”

Victoria, from Mansfield, who has a development kitchen in Ellastone, Uttoxeter, is joined by fellow WiRE members Sarah Liddle for website development and maintenance, PK Whalen, current Uttoxeter WiRE leader and food photographer, as well as Cheryl Morris who provides regular PR support.

Although not exclusively looking to work with female professionals, the 10-strong team is also made up of Jen Mellor, for social media, Emma and Hayley at Sparke Club who provide product development, and Della, Kate and Margaret in production.

Energy Ball Recipe Kits are made from natural, raw ingredients and each recipe box can be delivered to your door with all the ingredients needed to make 30 no bake treats.

All of the recipes are vegan and vegetarian friendly with the packaging also biodegradable making them good for the planet as well as your body.

Each month a new recipe box is posted out with all the ingredients and simple instructions to make up to a month’s worth of energy ball snacks. They can be stored in the fridge for 7 days or frozen to be used when needed.

Victoria hopes that the snack boxes will help more food conscious individuals to provide healthy alternatives for school lunch boxes, offices, day trips or even commuters.
