Positive Lifestyle Hub Promotes Time Offline

Life Seeker, the positive lifestyle hub for West Wales has launched an app-style website to inspire people to enjoy more time offline.

The website is phase two of Life Seekers’ mission to encourage the community to nurture their physical and mental health and is a natural progression from a successful pilot in 2017, promoting positive lifestyle activities along the West coast.

To date, Life Seeker has encouraged hundreds of residents and visitors to West Wales to review their lifestyle and adopt life principles from the Six Ways to Wellbeing. Seekers have engaged in activities such as modern meditation, walking outside, mindfulness, drawing, movement for all, yoga and nutritional advice.

Claire Eaton, busy photographer, mum and attendee of the Happy Hilton Weekend commented,

“What a wonderful concept, so good to see everybody outdoors and having fun. Thanks again and we look forward to your future events.”

Sally Boyton, founder of Life Seeker and marketing specialist explains why it’s important to reach Seekers where the conversations are taking place,

“Our mission is to inspire people to take time out to do more of what positively impacts their wellbeing. The ironic part of how we do this is to meet them in their natural habitat, online.

With 90% of the adult UK population classed as regular internet users, it’s vital to be able to connect with our audience, particularly on social media to understand their frustrations with balancing modern life and be able to promote relevant activities that can fit practically into their current scenario.

With recent reports that social media is having a negative mental health impact on a large number of users, we feel it’s our responsibility to counteract that by encouraging people to connect; with themselves, others and the natural environment, by enticing them offline for regular ‘recovery snacks’.”

Life Seeker’s app-style hub is designed for Seekers on the go. It can be accessed from any mobile device and resources filtered to suit what the Seeker. Providers, activities and events can be discovered by type, keyword, cost, date and county. Providers can be contacted directly.

Sally adds,

“Life Seeker is much more than an activity directory, it’s the start of a mission to protect and nurture the wellbeing of our future generations. Other features in development to support this message are #TheSmileFiles Interviews, the Happy List West Wales and the Life Seeker newspaper. ”
