Quintessential Wedding Day Dogs is an innovative new business that commenced it’s services in February 2018. This idea is perfect for couples with a very special dog in their lives who wish to share their wedding day with their beloved hound. After all, our dogs are part of our family, right?
This “barking mad”, but super exciting business idea is the brainchild of Jacqui Smith, owner of Quintessential Quarters (Dog Boarding Kennels). She found the inspiration behind this new concept from her daughter’s wish to have her own dog included in her special day. Jacqui’s daughter Rachael married Henry in Norfolk and Rachael’s Flatcoated Retriever, Spencer played a major role in the day.
Spencer has been a very important soul-mate to Rachael during her life and particularly during her studies as a vet so it was important to her to have him included at the wedding. To have her dog featured in her photographs will be a memory she will never forget.
Jacqui is a Canine Behaviourist and Professional Dog Groomer so is very comfortable with handling dogs of all shapes and sizes. However, she didn’t think she was going to be asked to pull it all together and multi-task at Rachael & Henry’s wedding as Mother of the Bride AND Dog Handler!
On the day, Jacqui was Spencer’s chaperone and true to form, Spencer was a hero, making everyone’s heart’s melt as he safely delivered the ring pouch to the Vicar, posed for photos and socialised with everyone.
Essentially, Quintessential Wedding Day Dogs is a chaperone service for your beloved dog. We make sure your dog makes it to and from your wedding venue. Prior to the day, we will arrange for a stunning floral collar, hand-made by our local florist to be worn by your female dog or a skilfully crafted bow tie for the males. Either can be customised to colour schemes, too.
Quintessential Wedding Day Dogs offers bespoke packages which pamper your dog and help them be a part of your big day.
Should our customers wish to, we can also arrange for their hounds to be professionally groomed at Quintessential Cuts Dog Grooming Salon, a professional and high standard groomers that use only the top quality products! So not only will these dogs look the part, they’ll also smell incredible!
Did I mention they’ll be walked, fed and can be boarded during your honeymoon or even just for the Wedding Night at our award- winning boarding facility too? Quintessential Quarters Boarding Kennels was shortlisted as one of the top six boarding kennels in the United Kingdom by the Pet Industry Federation in 2017.
