Bath based specialist walking company “Alison Howell’s Foot Trails” has won silver in the International Visitor Experience of the Year category at the South West England’s Excellence Awards on February 1st.
The prestigious annual event, at which Team Foot Trails exchanged their muddy walking boots for shiny shoes, was staged this year at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay. The event recognises the development of high-quality tourism businesses in the region by promoting and rewarding the top organisations in the industry.
Judging is carried out by an independent panel of past winners, industry leaders and experts. As well as taking into account written application forms, websites and social media, some finalists also receive a ‘mystery shopping’ visit. There were a record 647 entries this year.
