Regional Germinate Start Up Events for March

Germinate Enterprise is a rural business start-up resource programme that churches or other groups can use to help their community flourish through job creation, retaining young and working age residents and tackling rural poverty.

Germinate is running one day subsidised versions of the ‘Germinate Enterprise’ programme.

3rd February in Devon

24th February in Yorkshire

10th March in Northumberland

They are fast-moving versions of the full programme suitable for:

  • Anyone considering starting a business
  • Anyone interested in becoming a facilitator willing to guide others through the process of starting-up or developing an enterprise
  • Representatives of rural organisations that may be willing to host ‘Germinate Enterprise’ workshops, e.g. church groups, rural charities, etc.

The courses will be led by Jerry Marshall, CEO of Germinate. He was a self-employed marketing consultant who took on partners, incorporated, set up an additional technology business, a charity, and another not-for-profit business. In 2012 he co-founded a business in Bethlehem to create jobs, skills and links across the political divide: “Transcend” now has 100 staff serving Israeli and Palestinian customers.

Cost: Thanks to grant support from the Prince’s Countryside Fund the cost is £5 per person including all refreshments and lunch.

All events run 9.30am to 4.30pm
