Here we go again, another January, another year, welcome 2018. I adore Christmas and all the festivities, which is just as well, because I am always busy with Christmas puddings, so like lots of other businesses, it is my busiest time of the year.
So, now to reflect, set goals and decide what worked well in 2017, and what did not. I definitely need to increase my pudding production all year round. To that end, I am looking at specific marketing times, such as Burns Night, Valentine’s. Mother’s Day, and Easter. All important dates in people’s calendars.
I am also looking to diversify into ‘Puddings at Home’, making bespoke puddings for dinner parties and special occasions. I will also continue to sell my pudding sauces and puddings-in-a-jar proved popular in the Summer.
My favourite avenue is still the catering to pubs and restaurants. I am glad to say this has proved popular, and led to repeat business.
I will continue to network in 2018, as I believe word of mouth is always a good introduction to a business. I wish all WIRE members huge success for this year, and will be happy to supply puddings for any occcasion.
