SHROPSHIRE-BASED HYPNOTHERAPIST OFFERS COMMUNITY BURSARY WORTH £2,000 TO GIVE ONE DESERVING INDIVIDUAL A LEG-UP INTO HER PROFESSION
Successful Shrewsbury hypnotherapist Clarissa Woodcock is offering one deserving candidate a valuable entry point into her profession.
She is running a competition to offer a community bursary to someone from the Shropshire area, who shows real potential and the kind of personal traits needed to be successful.
The 10-month clinical hypnotherapy diploma is accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council governing body. The diploma was originally developed by world-famous clinical hypnotherapist Sheila Granger, who patented the ground breaking ‘Virtual Gastric Band’ programme to help people combat weight gain.
Clarissa, whose Shropshire Hypnotherapy: Calm Kids & Stress Solutions business specialises in anxiety-related issues, is one of the first practitioners to join Sheila’s worldwide trainers network, to pass on their skills to others. Clarissa has teamed up with fellow hypnotherapist, mental health expert, author and international key note speaker Liz Sharpe to present the course.
Clarissa is so passionate about the transformational potential of hypnotherapy, she wants to do her bit to encourage more practitioners into the profession, so that they can ultimately help more people.
The former teacher and Army major decided to re-train and enter the profession after seeing the positive impact it had on one of her students for whom anxiety had previously been a barrier to exam success.
She said: “Every day, I have the pleasure of seeing people’s lives changed for the better by the therapies I offer, whether nervousness is holding them back from achieving their goals, or they are struggling with an eating disorder – or having difficulty losing weight.
“There really isn’t any more rewarding business to be in, and I want to play my part in helping it to become more mainstream, by taking steps to expand the number of practitioners and therefore the number of people we are able to reach.”
Everyone can hypnosis and by the end of weekend one you will able to hypnotise and bring someone out of a trance successfully. Other modules of the interactive course will include: history of hypnosis, working with stress, anxiety, overcoming addictions, working with children, and specific targeted therapy programmes such as virtual gastric band, sports performance, brain training for beating sugar addiction, reducing alcohol and smoking cessation. In addition, the course also includes business master classes in social media and marketing. By the end of the course you will be able to set up your own hypnotherapy practice and work with members of the public.
The course, which usually costs £2,000, also offers candidates access to a support network of likeminded professionals, and coaching in how to establish a successful hypnotherapy practice, including marketing guidance plus £1300 worth of bonuses including the flagship programme the Virtual Gastric Band.
It combines classroom-based teaching and guided practice with a range of on and offline support materials.
Anyone wanting to enter Clarissa’s competition must be local to Shropshire and aged 18 plus. Further details can be found at www.hypnotherapytrainingpartners.com. The entry deadline is 31 October 2017.
Clarissa is also running half-day hypnotherapy taster sessions to anyone interested in exploring a career in the industry, who wants to check if it is for them. These will take place 14 October and 18 November. Please see website for further details.
