Lucy Parsons, a study skills expert who lives in Welford, Northamptonshire, has started a podcast called The School Success Formula for the parents of teenagers studying for their GCSEs and A Levels.

The podcast will cover all the topics that impact on a young person’s success in education, from learning difficulties to bullying and employability skills to how to be a supportive parent. The first four episodes have been published in July 2017 with weekly episodes lined up to be published on Wednesdays going forwards.

Lucy, the author of the book The Ten Step Guide to Acing Every Exam You Ever Take, said, “Parents of this age group of children are under-served in the media which tends to focus on the early years of a child’s life. However, the exam years are crucial and parents often feel that they lack information and therefore aren’t confident about how to guide their children as they approach adult life. I want The School Success Formula to fill this gap.”

Lucy goes on to say, “Although the podcast is aimed at parents I think that both students and teachers will get great value from both me and my expert guests that I bring in for interviews. I’m really excited to be able to share so much knowledge in such a user friendly way.”

You can listen to The School Success Formula on Lucy’s website,, in iTunes or through the podcast app on your phone.
