New MagiKats Mathematics and English Tuition Centre Opens in Hereford
If you are looking for Mathematics and English Tuition with a difference, consider enrolling your child with MagiKats. New Principal, Debra Thomas says MagiKats Hereford is the place where “weekly tuition groups of no more than six students” ensure each child improves their subject knowledge. She adds the current education environment with tougher GCSEs and SATS examinations “requires more from tuition centres than simply completing extra worksheets”.
As a dedicated foster-mum and experienced educator, Debra knows how difficult it can be motivating children to achieve at school. She chose to open MagiKats Hereford because “what really stood out for me was the ability of the programme to improve problem areas, or extend student knowledge beyond what is available at school.”
She points out MagiKats is different to other tutoring companies because National Curriculum support is offered alongside “individual areas of development for each child.” This includes identifying gaps in learning, so students can look more closely into the subjects. “It is too easy for difficult concepts to be covered too quickly. In lessons, school pupils can get lost in the process.” She adds, “MagiKats provides homework tasks which work on these areas too, building core skills,” allowing children to keep pace with the curriculum concepts.
Debra promises to provide children who enrol at the centre with a “completely individual tuition plan to meet their needs.” Plans will be reviewed regularly with parents and children in a way that motivates each child to work hard to achieve their goals and enjoy themselves in the process. In workshops, everyone gets individual feedback from their group mentor. She says, “The unique MagiKats system allows children to feel pride in their achievements and to see their progress on a weekly basis.”
Debra discovered MagiKats when searching for a tuition company that supported young people learning Maths and English. She wanted a company where someone was on-hand to explain the difficult bits. Having observed MagiKats in other areas, she finds parents are impressed with how their children are “really listened to” and students receive a very personal service, from a proven brand.
Debra brings her passion to help children do well to MagiKats Hereford, and hopes it will “be the first choice for parents when looking for extra tuition for their child, whether it is to plug any gaps in their education, give them work to extend them further than they get at school, or to give them the opportunity to consolidate skills they are learning in the classroom.”
MagiKats Hereford opens on June 13th and will combine a fun and friendly learning environment with a fantastic location. Find us at Churchill House on Venn’s Lane, with workshops running on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Parents who wish to enrol can contact Debra directly at MagiKats Hereford on 01981 251833 or visit the centre in person.
