A PR company specialising in rural businesses has celebrated its first year of business.
Rural Roots PR, which is based in Oakham, turned one on 1 May and owner Megan Allen, 32, invited friends, colleagues and clients to celebrate with her at The Grainstore Brewery.
She said: “Statistically, 50 per cent of businesses don’t make it through their first year, so I thought it was well worth celebrating.
“I couldn’t have made it through without the overwhelming support of the business and media communities in Rutland and I’ve met some truly inspiring people.”
Megan works with small, rural businesses to tell their stories and has achieved local, regional and national coverage for her clients in recent months.
She added: “The next six months are going to be focused on realigning my brand with the rural, heritage and tourism sectors and creating cost-effective and exciting packages for my clients.”
