Film Festival in Burton to showcase StageScreen Students

I am currently preparing students from the ages of 6-18 to see their own devised short films on the big screen as they gear up towards their first film festival at the end of the summer term.

StageScreen is a new drama school in Burton with a difference. Teaching a unique combination of skills every Saturday morning from 10-1pm and classes cover musical theatre, comedy & drama acting and film & TV.

On July 22nd students will be getting the chance to dress in their best and walk down their own red carpet! They will join family, friends and invited guests to watch their own films. Films they have devised, created, shot, acted in and edited. All of the work is their own!

The musical theatre classes are also going to be filmed for the final showcase and will be shot on location!

It’s not too late for any children under 18yrs to join the StageScreen family. Projects are ongoing through the term and there will always be something to be part and proud of for the whole term.

StageScreen isn’t just for those that want to take performing arts further into their careers. Already in the term we are seeing great friendships being formed and huge encouragement and empathy between students. It’s a joy to see!

If you know any children that might be interested in joining StageScreen you can get in touch via the website at stagescreen.co.uk, facebook and twitter @stagescreenUK and by email at info@stagescreen.co.uk.  StageScreen is based at Burton Albion Community Hub, Casey Lane, DE14 2ER

There is also a FREE TRIAL week for all students!
