Silver Sentiments is on the road again

It’s the start of a new year and a new buying season.

Today I am off on my travels again to see what exciting new jewellery I can find.  First stop is Jaipur (via Delhi of course – well I wouldn’t do anything the easy way and fly direct to Jaipur would I?).  Last time it was a great adventure.  I mean, it’s not every day that you overtake an elephant on the motorway is it?  Or see a camel tethered to a petrol pump?

The Pink City, I am hoping, will reveal some beautiful, semi-precious stones with which to make scrumptious pendants, rings and earrings.  Last time I fell in love with green Pietersite and Chrycosolla.  Who knows that little gems will be unearthed this time?

After Jaipur, it’s onto Bali for five days.  Life is tough, I know.  However, it will be the monsoon season and mosquitoes seem to love honing their target practice on me.   I am after some shell jewellery in Bali.  I am looking forward to seeing my special silversmith – he has so much talent and makes some beautiful pieces.  We will put our heads together and see what we can come up with.

My final stop  will be five days in Bangkok.  I love the hustle and bustle in downtown Bangkok where I eat more than my fair share of Pad Thai, mangoes and pineapple.  My son is currently travelling through southern Thailand where the floods are so bad that the crocodiles and alligators have evidently swum out of the zoos.  It all promises to be a very interesting trip. . . .

If you would like to follow my progress, please like my Facebook page  I will try and keep my antics posted there.

Meanwhile, start the year as you mean to go on.  That is exactly what I am doing by writing a blog here and getting to grips with social media!

Happy New Year to you all.

Louise
