New to Lily’s Secret Vintage Tea Rooms, join artist Kate Elwell on September 10th for our brand new bag workshop. £30 per person including refreshments. Pre booking only HERE.
My name is Kate Elwell and I’ve been an artist for over 35 years. I paint on jute hessian bags, framed panels depicting flora and fauna and do decorative painting on a variety of objects. My work is mostly through commissions and I also sell at craft fairs and take workshops teaching how to paint on jute bags.
At my workshop people will learn to paint on a lined jute hessian bag then add some glitter and bling. It will be pre-prepared with the image ready for painting. All materials required will be provided – including the bag, and they will take the completed bag home.
Please note that no one needs to know how to paint to do this workshop.

On Saturday 23rd July from 10:30am join A Very Vintage Events at Newport Parish Rooms, New Street for ‘A Very Vintage Craft, Handmade, and Vintage fair with Pop-Up Tearooms’
The event will include local artisan stallholders, small businesses and crafters as well as Lily’s Secret Vintage Tearooms providing refreshments.
Owner Sarah Lewis, 27 said ‘we are excited to be coming to Newport after holding several successful events in Gnosall during the past 12 months, visitors can expect to find a wide range of goodies to browse and buy on the day together with homemade refreshments to top it off’
