Having originally trained in Fine and History of Arts at the Inchbald School of Design, Sarah went on to work for Charles Hammond in London. After learning so much about design, both in soft furnishings and accessories, she then furthered her career with Christopher Vane Percy Designs, and In 1985 Sarah started FT Designs with Philippa Thorp of the now prestigious Thorp Design.

By introducing The Loft at More Hall, Sarah is sharing the culmination of over 20 years of creative experience renovating property and designing interiors for friends, colleagues and clients.

Over the years Sarah has found few shops where she could buy traditional designer accessories without incurring long waiting times for them to be manufactured or imported and so her idea for The Loft at More Hall was born.

Located at Brockton, near Much Wenlock, The Loft is an exclusive outlet where customers can purchase quality products to take away with them or have delivered straight away.

From rolls of designer fabric to ready made curtains, cushions, delightful wall and table lamps, bespoke light shades and one-off interior accessories The Loft has something to suit all tastes and styles.

Some of the items are renewed seconds, but most are one-offs and discontinued pieces that you won’t find anywhere else.

At The Loft prices are kept affordable and Sarah works hard, travelling around the country to designer outlets, selecting beautiful items to suit even the most modest of budgets.

The most recent event in May was a resounding success; showcasing  Sarah’s accessories, such as throws, and cushions plusa large selection of designer fabrics, lighting, one-off pieces of furniture, gifts and other interior accessories.

Sarah said: “The event was great; the showroom has developed considerably since the first open day and I now have a much wider selection of fabrics and also stock lots of great fringes and trimmings, which people have been asking for since we started.

“Our open events are an ideal opportunity for homeowners who are looking for inspiration on how to restyle their home or local interior designers looking to source fabrics or accessories for their latest projects.

“For example we have at least five rolls of beige linen wallpaper from a client who decided not to use the colour. Some of the fabrics are really stunning and perfect if people are looking to brighten up their home with new curtains, blinds or other interior projects such as recovering an old chair or footstool – perfect for an interior designer who wanted to use this in a scheme.”

“One of the things we love to do at The Loft is reinvent fabrics by turning them into beautiful home accessories such as cushions, bedspreads, runners and throws,” said Sarah.

“We also love helping to bring other people’s ideas for their home to life so can’t wait to get chatting to our guests at the open events.”

Visitors to The Loft showroom will discover around 150 different designer and bespoke fabrics, many of which have been sourced directly from design houses around the country.

Visits are by appointment only or during open events. For more information visit the website or contact Sarah on 07968057873.
