Lots of excitement and celebration at Tregullas Farm on The Lizard as we have been awarded a National Trust Fine food award 2015 for our amazingly tasty lamb boxes.
WiRE Member Rona Amiss moved to the most southerly farm on mainland Britain 2 years ago says, “we are building up both local and national sales of our lamb boxes which not only taste wonderful but are good value as they come direct from the farm. We have also just learned that we are finalists in The British Farming Awards Family Farm category recognising the important contribution the whole family makes to our business”
The farm is a real mixed farm with beef cattle, sheep, cereals, veg and lots of conservation measures to support the incredible biodiversity on The Lizard Peninsula. September is also harvest month for our school visitors with lots of pumpkin harvesting, cooking and eating planned giving a chance for the local children to get to grips with where their food comes from.
