Did you know our brain processes images more quickly than words and it can decide in a second or so whether something is worth reading?
Given the never ending stream of information I receive via social media something has to capture my attention quickly. The most effective way to do this is to include an attractive image within the post.
I see (or rather I don’t see, as my eyes go straight past them) lots of wordy updates on Facebook. How much more effective would this post be if you had an attractive image on there which showed you instantly what the post was about and attracted you to click on the link or like or comment on the post?
I use canva www.canva.com to create images. It’s free, you upload your logo and a background image (or pay $1 to use one of theirs), choose the template you want to use (or create your own) and add some words explaining what the post is about and then you download it and add it to your blog post or post it straight onto Facebook.
