Journaling has become increasingly popular in recent years, and more of us are doing it on a daily basis. But what are the benefits and why is it so popular?
The average person has over 6000 thoughts a day, and without knowing it, we can hold onto some of these thoughts which in turn allows them to effect our mood, our actions and we way we think of ourselves.
Repetitive thoughts especially negative ones or self deprecating ones, shape our beliefs and effect all that we become.
This is why journaling is so important, as it helps you become more self aware. It teaches us how to reflect on our emotions, how we handle situations and even helps our relationships.
With regular journaling you become aware of negative talk, and can learn to create more positive thoughts and start to become the person you wish to become. We increase our sense of being grateful for what we have, helps process our emotions and tracks your personal growth.
It is also proven to improve stress and anxiety. You understand the triggers and how to respond to them.
Since I have been journaling, I have now have a morning routine, where I am grateful for what I have in my life, I visualize how I want to feel and I set a daily intention. I am no longer stressed or anxious and live a positive and happy life. 💜
