Well Christmas beckons and the New Year faces us just around the corner
For many women in business this can be the busiest time of the year. For others, it’s a chance to slow things down and take a well earned break. As a Funeral Celebrant I know that my diary puts me well and truly into the 1st category!
But whichever camp you fall in, let me take this opportunity to remind you all about what really matters in life.
Having written and led hundreds of Funerals over the last 6 years, I’ve learnt lots about how people are remembered! Believe it or not but it’s the smaller things in life, that are carried around in the hearts of the people you leave behind. Here’s what people focus on when they’ve lost someone special:
I’ve led Funerals for many successful entrepreneurs. Yes their work featured in their eulogies but that wasn’t how people chose to remember them. It was the many personal qualities that made that person who they were, that resonated throughout.
So yes, be proud and passionate about your business. But don’t forget about you. Measure your worth by your personal qualities and if you’re not sure what they are – then ask a friend or two to help you out. Think about how you really want to be remembered!
Have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
