Do you need a Virtual Assistant?

Posted: 2nd October 2014

Do you need help with your admin but don’t know where to start?

Do you need more time to focus on what really matters in your business?

Here is a guide to help you decide what you should delegate to a Virtual Assistant.

The right mindset

First look at your day to day business activities. Are there things you do that are not necessary? If they are not necessary DON’T DO THEM and don’t spend money outsourcing them to a Virtual Assistant.

Next look at whether the work you are doing is generating income or not?

Is it necessary for business but does not generate income?

Is it necessary for business and high value income producing?

You need to be outsourcing non-income producing activities and keep only the work that is income producing so that you can focus on what really matters.

Each day write down every task and the total time spent on it. Make sure that you categorise it properly “Income producing and necessary.”  OR  “Not income producing but necessary” also mark down whether you love doing this task or hate it.

At the end of the week go back and look at your list. Highlight non-income producing but necessary and you hate doing it. These tasks you should outsource to your VA first.

Secondly, outsource work non income producing but necessary and you like doing it.

Then outsource income producing work but you hate doing it.

What is left should be income producing work that you love doing!

You can now make an educated decision about what tasks you can outsource.
