Would you like to make self-confidence one of your 2016 goals? If so, here are 7 top tips for self-confidence from Liz Tucker at Shepherd Creative Learning.

  1. Spend some time alone and discover who you really are

Find out your likes, dislikes, strengths, weaknesses, fears, inhibitions, dreams and aspirations. This self-knowledge will provide strong foundations on which to build your self-confidence and self-esteem

  1. Learn to love the unique person you are

If you can’t love yourself you won’t be able to accept love from others. Just strive to be the best version of you and watch your confidence blossom and grow

  1. Remember, all your life experiences have created the person you are today

Need I say more?

  1. Be the game maker or changer in your life

Be a player, not an observer in your life. Your achievements are only limited by your imagination

  1. Be purposeful and have conviction

You don’t need to run your life like a military operation, but if you don’t aim you will never hit the bulls eye

  1. Face up to life’s challenges; don try to run away from them

None of us are immune to life’s knocks but be like the Hazel – bend but don’t break

  1. Never view life as ‘glass have empty’

Remember there are three sides to every situation. These are – your view, the other person’s view and the truth (usually a bit of each view)

If your goals don’t scare you they’re not big enough. Make self-confidence one of your big goals for 2016 and expect your self-confidence to grow and blossom.
