People love competitions, and used correctly, they can help boost your business.
1. To promote a product, special offer or event
Competitions are a relatively inexpensive way to create a positive buzz about your business and an awareness of its offerings. Focus on a new product range, a seasonal promotion or a forthcoming event in your competition and give people something to talk about.
2. To attract visitors to your website
More visits to your website will mean:
a) Greater general awareness of your brand
b) An opportunity to gently convert competition entrant to customer

3. To build a mailing list
As part of the competition, ask people to opt in to receiving a newsletter or details of future promotions from you.
