Digital marketing and selling online via a website are hot topics for our members as some are now venturing into e-commerce, while others have a website but still do very little with it.
Natalie’s earlier career was as a Senior Lecturer, in a senior leadership role in Further Education, where she headed up a range of Curriculum Centres that focused on Teacher Training, Care, Public Services, Construction and Education. She supported hundreds of students, from those doing Apprenticeships right through to Degree Level Programmes.
In fact, Natalie’s lifelong love of learning led to her being awarded a Post Graduate Diploma qualification in 2011, the same year as her daughter Laura graduated with a Degree from the same University (pardon the pun, but we bet that was the mother of all Graduation parties!). Passionate about quality control, Natalie led the curriculum improvement programmes that were acknowledged by Ofsted, which graded her Centre as “Outstanding”.
Natalie is also a qualified HR Practitioner, Business Coach/Mentor, and a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management. This knowledge, combined with her expertise in working closely with employers, led Natalie to diversify and set up Grow My Small Business.
The company works with micro and small businesses, offering Coaching, Business Plans, Marketing Plans, HR and Policy Planning/Reviewing. Natalie’s systems encourage good structure and sound practice, helping small businesses to develop the tools that will effectively manage their operations and attract customers online.
Natalie’s talk will be a whistle-stop tour of how to ensure your digital profile is working effectively, by helping you to connect with the right audiences. She’ll highlight some of the common mistakes small business make online… and how to fix them. Her talk will include:
· Knowing your USP (Unique Selling Point/Points of Difference)
· Having a strategy that drives online traffic to your business
· Why being engaging and informative are vital
· How social media brings results
· How to measure the effects of your online activity
