We love to hear stories of women who have changed direction in their lives.  Tonight, we welcome Jules Button to WiRE South Suffolk.

Jules spent many years as founder and owner of Rainbow Apothecary (Health Store and Allergy Centre).  In 2015, she decided to sell the business and take a year off to reevaluate her life.

In 2017, Jules now finds herself suddenly and unexpectedly the owner of a Bookshop ‘Woodbridge Emporium’ and in a bid to turn the flagging bookstore around has brought in ‘Loose Leaf Teas’.  During Jules’s year off she re-trained as a ‘Teasmith’ and felt that she could find a way to bring books and tea together.

What do Tea and Books have in Common? – They both can make you feel GOOD  The properties of tea can make you feel relaxed and happy due to an amino acid that is naturally found in some teas. However, not all teas are the same quality.  The processing of tea and manufacture of tea bags can destroy the ‘Feel Good Factor’.  Tonight, Jules will share with us what tea is best to drink.

She will also discuss the difference between Teas, Tisanes and Herbal Drinks.  Books also can create a feeling of euphoria and escapism, so couple a good book with a proper cup of tea and the feeling can be magical.  As busy WiRE women, we need to find time for ourselves and this looks like a great way to do just that!

Jules will also discuss what books are the ‘In Thing’ at the moment and what teas complement what books.   Who knew that?!  Don’t miss this lively entertaining talk that will make us think about ‘Ditching the Teabag’ and chilling out with Books with a good strong cuppa!
