So, as our introduction at this months meeting we ask you “what book would you recommend to others”. Maybe you have an author or a particular title that you often re-read? Your favourite book might be a business or self-help title that has changed your life or even a book you wrote yourself! However you feel about the written word, poetry or even cartoon comics, we welcome you to share it with the group.
Claire McFadden, WiRE Ambassador and founder of the current Leicestershire group is a bibliophile and a printer so is always happy to talk about books. She hosts this months national meeting and introduces the idea of writing a book for your business including tips on printing and getting published.
We have also welcomed a new WiRE member recently, Louise Worthington is a published author, local to WiRE HQ in Shropshire. Louise has offered a downloadable copy of her new book Rachel’s Garden to anyone attending the network meeting on Wednesday 17th and would love to know your thoughts.
When Rachel and her husband Adam move to Maple Cottage in remote Cheshire, it should be the fulfilment of their dream to start a family.
Haunted by her past and challenged by events around her, Rachel finds that her home is not the sanctuary she envisaged–and neither is her marriage. Adam’s temper rages when he discovers he is infertile. She seeks solace in the arms of her gardener and falls pregnant.
Dreams become reality—and a garden grows, but as every gardener knows, even the most beautiful plants can be toxic.
Can Rachel find the happiness she craves, or will the toxic past take root and lead her down a dark path?
