WHO OR WHAT IS WiRE?
Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE) is a national business support network of rural business women with little access to larger city networking. West Kent WiRE is a branch of this incredible network. West Kent WiRE was established a few years back and has recently undergone a mini revamp. We are now serving the west side of Kent and opening more of Kent for more potential groups to blossom. We have really looked into the requirements that small business owners are needing from networking groups and West Kent WiRE is going to try the utmost to meet those needs. We are looking into getting Industry Experts to come in and cover certain topics of running or growing a small business and provide you with the knowledge that you are wanting. The main purpose of WiRE is to support and encourage ALL small female businesses.
The West Kent group meet the 1st Wednesday of each month from 10am to 12.30 pm at The Moody Mare, 501 Seven Mile Ln, Maidstone ME18 5QY, UK
PLEASE TAKE NOTE THAT MEETINGS START PROMPTLY AT 10:30am
OUR GUEST SPEAKER FOR THIS MONTH’S MEETING IS…
“Looking after YOUR money-making machine” with Sue Allen from Hensman Financial.
She will be informing us about the basics of what we need to have in place to ourselves, our families and businesses if ever the “wheels-fall-off”.
She is an Independent Adviser working from home, running Hensman Financial. She set up Hensman Financial approximately 2 years ago, after having worked for a company based in Aberdeen. She retrained about 6 years ago to become a mortgage & protection adviser, as she wanted a more rewarding career than the current B2B role that she had.
She lives with her partner in Tunbridge Wells and has a 23 year old son, who now lives in London. Her partner works on a rotational basis (4 weeks on and 4 weeks off), and when at home they like to travel to European cities and go on substantial walks… favourites are the Lake District. They have plans for walking the Cotswold Way and possibly Mont Blanc!
You can find out more about her & her business, click here…
There are two payment methods that we accept:
If you want to pay cash when you arrive, please book your place anyway. Click Book Event button below and follow instructions.
PLEASE USE YOUR INITIALS & SURNAME AS YOUR REFERENCE (EG: S BATTENHAUSSEN)
We have created instructions on how to do these two booking/payment methods, just go to the file section in our FB group and check out Payment Detail file.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS:
Don’t panic if you can’t make the event at the last minute, we can transfer it to the next month’s meetup. Please email leaders to let them know of this change at firstname.lastname@example.org so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
To make life a little less stressful and not having to run around for the correct cash amount to pay at the meetups, we do suggest doing the banking transfer or setting up a direct debit. REMEMBER CERTAIN NETWORKING COSTS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE so if its reflected on your bank statement, less admin when Tax Season kicks in.
If you require an invoice or receipt of your monthly meeting fee, please email email@example.com so that we can set this up for you.
We are so looking forward to seeing you there.
Your host this month is Fiona Blackmore
