“I regularly attend WiRE meetings in Cannock and Stafford and have recently arranged to go to the Burton meeting and give a 10 minute presentation on our business. I have benefited hugely from WiRE particularly with my personal development. I had given up work when we had our first child to be a full time mum and had not been in a workplace environment for over 7 years. “I loved going to WiRE meetings so much, I became a volunteer leader of WiRE Burton-on-Trent. I think it really helps that there are three of us who share the leadership role in Burton, so a big thank you to my fellow leaders Alison Bradley and Lorraine Holden. I think our skills complement each other. There's a lot to do when you run a WiRE group, but it's also hugely rewarding.
