Sue McFarlane

I have been a member of Notts Wire for a while now & have gained so much from the friendly group of women.

I find the women only environment really helpful.

We all support each other, help to grow business contacts, gain personal development & swap strategies for getting through life’s challenges.

Love it, thanks.

Sue Fry - coaching & adviceWiRE is just the best networking available for women in business. The mutually supportive environment and help received from other women has been invaluable. The annual conference always gives me opportunities to think about my business, market research with others attending, and generally inspire and reinvigorate me. SarahLA valuable business partner. Always a friendly voice on the end of the phone from the network leaders and a very supportive network. www.lilyssecretvintagetearoom.co.uk

I have attended several networking events in my area and have to say that WiRE beats the rest hands down! The other networking events, that were not Women only were quite formal, sales orientated and not a particularly friendly environment for a new kid on the block. I look forward to attending WiRE events for many years to come. Thank you

WIRE has been so wonderful for me. The networking meetings were full of lovely friendly supportive women. We still keep in contact. The conferences have been inspiring and the workshops packed with fabulous really useful info. I went from knowing nothing at all and being completely daunted, to understanding the territory and gradually putting what I’ve learned in to practice! Thank you so much to WIRE!  Roise  http://www.thesoundsanctuary.co.uk

Thank you to the Wiltshire contingent for welcoming me to your WIRE networking event at the Waggon and Horses, Beckhampton last month. I learnt a great deal about improving and optimising our website from the speaker and met a group of really interesting and inspiring women. It was very informal, relaxed and welcoming. So much so that now I’ve joined up as a member and I look forward to more local networking events in the future. The website and resources here are so comprehensive and I feel very encouraged already to be part of this national network of women doing phenomenal things and supporting each other along the way. And what better day to post this than International Women’s Day!

I love WiRE and all that it offers to me and my business. I rejoined in January for my third year as I really value the support, learning, camaraderie, business referrals and friendship I’ve gained through the network. I am fortunate living in Staffordshire as I have a choice of three networks that I go to regularly, so if I have clients on a day which clashes with a meeting, I can still network at one of the others! I’m just about to book for the WiRE conference having missed it last year. Can’t wait to see everyone there!

PNI regularly attend WiRE meetings in Cannock and Stafford and have recently arranged to go to the Burton meeting and give a 10 minute presentation on our business. I have benefited hugely from WiRE particularly with my personal development.  I had given up work when we had our first child to be a full time mum and had not been in a workplace environment for over 7 years.  That was until last year when myself and my husband decided to open our own business.  Attending WiRE has given me the confidence in my abilities as an advocate for our business.  After listening to Aly Harrold’s presentation at this years WiRE conference I emailed my WiRE leader and arranged to do my first 10 minute presentation (something that prior to this would have left me mildly terrified to say the least).

I loved going to WiRE meetings so much, I became a volunteer leader of WiRE Burton-on-Trent. I think it really helps that there are three of us who share the leadership role in Burton, so a big thank you to my fellow leaders Alison Bradley and Lorraine Holden. I think our skills complement each other. There’s a lot to do when you run a WiRE group, but it’s also hugely rewarding. One of the best things is to watch WiRE members grow in confidence and build their businesses with the support and encouragements of other members. The women who come to WiRE meetings are its greatest strength. I always learn something from them every month without fail.

Amanda Deadman

Berkeley House B&B, East Sussex

I’ve been going to my local WIRE meeting in East Sussex for a few months and have really enjoyed meeting such a wide ranging group of talented women. I’ve tried networking groups before, but WIRE is very different. It’s much more friendly and personal and there’s a real interest in each other’s businesses and day-to-day challenges, rather than just a focus on handing out business cards and moving on to the next target. Thank you to Fiona for introducing me to WIRE and also to Sandra and Louisa for running our local group. Looking forward to the next meeting.
