WiRE Conference 2017 – The Power of YOU
Posted: 7th March 2017
Love it or loath it, our world and our businesses are becoming increasingly about YOU; your story, your brand, your image and your relationships. So, the WiRE conference this year features a myriad of experts will be there to help make the best YOU that you can be.
As usual the day will be full of energy and will of course include lots of networking, a fabulous locally sourced lunch and goody bags to finish.
We have a chosen charity this year called The Dignity Project, the charity raises funds and empowers teenage girls understand their significance and respect themselves. We are asking delegates to bring along a three pack of new pants (yes you read that right) to donate to the charity. WiRE Member Victoria Prince is the local project lead, you can read all about the whole project here.
Here are a few of the highlights:
- There will be inspiration by the bucket-load, but we are delighted that Emma Heal the retail director from graze.com will be joining us. She has an entrepreneurial streak a mile wide which she has brought to her roles during her 15 years in retail, including as the start-up director for innocent drinks in Sweden and now at graze.com being responsible for launching the retail arm of the universally loved snacks.
- Back by popular demand this year is Philippa Davies; award winning author and trainer of famous people! She will bring her unique style and passion to the workshop called “Building your Story” which will help you understand how to write words that people are desperate to read.
- Another WiRE stalwart Julie Dodsworth will be bringing her good sense and humour to her seminar titled “Opening Doors to new business”, Julie will share her own story and outline a few simple strategies and techniques, to help you find their inner ‘sell’ and be your own best advert.
