Hello, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Helen Allen and I am the WiRE Project Officer for Warwickshire, running the new 'Opening Doors' project throughout the county. My background is mainly in agriculture, this also includes managing a local education authorities educational resource farm and setting up in business with my husband, breeding and milking a herd of pedigree jersey cattle.
I am planning to organise various 'Opening Doors' events throughout Warwickshire, these will include two hour 'taster' events, to introduce WiRE to women who are thinking of setting up in business or have recently started, but need a little help or support and aren't sure who to ask. The 'Opening Doors' workshops are held over two days, a few weeks a part, which will help you to focus on your business idea and at the end of this, you should have enough information to make a start on your business plan. To help you further, there will also be skills workshops to help you to further your knowledge for developing your business. We also offer mentoring on a one to one basis, if you feel this would be helpful to you. All of these events are free to women who are setting up in business.
I look forward to meeting you and am really excited about hearing your business ideas and supporting you in your new ventures.

We have marquees at the following shows and would like to offer you the opportunity to join other WiRE beneficiaries and members to exhibit at the show or shows of your choice. You should view the experience as a marketing opportunity, perhaps an opportunity to test the market if you have not done this before, and then any sales are a bonus.
