Welcome to WiRE Shropshire.
My career has been a patchwork quilt of trial and error. Having originally trained in graphic design I took a job at Defra (MAFF in those days) followed by several other positions in various companies including Telecoms, the NHS, and Retail Consultancy. I never really made a conscious effort to work in business support but just fancied the job! However it has become my passion and I can see how threads from my other career paths all feed into my work at WiRE, from relationship building to sales and marketing.
Not to be quashed my creative streak never died and since 1993 I have painted in watercolours selling my work through galleries in the south and on the craft circuit as a hobby. This is now on the backburner but I hope to take up my brushes again one day.

Agricultural Shows
It's coming to that time of year again, and here at WiRE we are making plans to attend some of the local agricultural shows.
It will be a similar format as in previous years, WiRE will take a marque and give all beneficaries of Open Doors the opportunity to display and sell their products. Last year we even won an award at Burwarton Show, we were runners up in the Best Trade Display, and set ourselves the target this year to WIN!!
So if you'd like to join us we will be at :
Stafford Show 30/31 May, Newport and District Agricultural Show 21 July and Burwarton Show 2 August.

A Swanky Affair
WiRE are planning an event with a difference!!
A Swanky Affair
It's all going to happen in The Pride Hill Centre, Shrewsbury 26th to 28th April.
There will be lots of things going on to draw in the crowds!! Including a Fashion Show, Ready Steady Cook and The Generation Game version of cake decorating!!
There will be a seating area for the crowds that we are expecting, and tables for traders to promote and sell their products. We have marquees at the following shows and would like to offer you the opportunity to join other WiRE beneficiaries and members to exhibit at the show or shows of your choice. You should view the experience as a marketing opportunity, perhaps an opportunity to test the market if you have not done this before, and then any sales are a bonus.
