Business in the Community’s Awards for Excellence showcase the best of responsible business in action.

The Awards for Excellence are the UK’s most influential, independent, peer assessed corporate responsibility awards.

Now in their fifteenth year they are widely acknowledged as one of the most respected endorsements of responsible business.

For over a decade Business in the Community's Awards for Excellence have identified and celebrated those companies that have had a positive impact on our environment and society as well as their business.

Categories cover a wide range of issues including work experience, collaborative community action, supply chain, climate change, rural communities and sustainable travel. A full list of categories can be found here.

Companies demonstrating they have achieved a specific standard in their chosen category  are awarded a Big Tick. The best of the Big Tick entries then go forward to judging where the overall winner for each category is decided.

Business in the Community's Awards for Excellence are a brilliant way of gaining the recognition for your approach to responsible business. Other benefits of entering the awards include:

  • Opportunity to review own programme of activities through the application process and through the written feedback from assessors.
  • Support available from Business in the Community throughout the application process to help you submit an entry that accurately reflects your work.
  • Profile through national and regional press coverage for successful entries
  • Successful entries used as examples of best practice by Business in the Community
