PR Opportunity - 06/01/11

Inspired by Stella English, who recently won The Apprentice having grown up on a council estate and left school with no qualifications, the magazine are putting together a feature about women who have come from an underprivileged background, and who have gone on to find success in life.

They are urgently looking for women (aged 30 to 55) who'd be willing to appear in the magazine talking about how they, too, had a challenging start but made their lives a success. Maybe you grew up in poverty or in care, or didn't gain any qualifications at school, but they didn't let that stop you achieving your ambitions.

And in terms of success, they're not looking for millionaires! Basically they're after someone who's forged a successful life for herself having come from very humble beginnings, so maybe your someone who has a comfortable house and nice car, and who doesn't have to scrimp to have the things you want (like clothes and holidays).

This will be a very positive piece, which will hopefully inspire other readers to achieve success whatever their background.

They are able to offer a fee to say thanks for taking the time and can also read the piece back to the women they speak to before it goes to press, to make sure all the facts are correct.
