Calling all Cornish Businesses - 21/07/10
The Workhubs Network have been comissioned by Cornwall Council, Cornwall Development Company and SWRDA to help deliver workhubs in Cornwall, part of which includes surveying businesses (home based, self-employed, freelancers, nano, micro, small) to identify their needs for workhub space and services. We believe this is a really good opportunity to address the needs of these sorts of businesses in Cornwall, those needs often being forgotten / down played in 'traditional' employment space research, and to be ahead of the curve in Cornwall in terms of significant changes to working practices. We know there are a large number of women (higher than the national average) in Cornwall who run businesses from home, are self-employed and need a more flexible approach to working than has traditionally been the case. As such, we're really keen to understand the views of your members in Cornwall.
The first survey, which is aimed at home-based businesses has already been running (via survey monkey) for a while (see http://www.workhubs.com/) and has received a lot of responses, but we'd welcome more. The second survey www.surveymonkey.com/s/workhubscornwallsurvey has just been launched and is aimed at micro and small businesses.
