Hello, My name is Rayeesa I am the founder of Rayeesa’s Indian Kitchen Cookery School in Herefordshire, and Spiced by Rayeesa frozen curry sauces.
I am an ex police officer turned entrepreneur. I love to cook fresh, tasty food and share my passion with others. Its very different to walking the beat in London, but its a journey I am now passionate about pursuing.
I started my cookery school in 2010 as a way to earn some money in between school drop off and pick up. That was 8 years ago and I am still loving it today as much if not more than when I started.
My new venture meant that I was now busier than ever, so time was is short supply (or so it seemed!), so I looked at ways of making my life easier and came up with the idea of making batches of our families favourite curry sauces and then simply freezing them. This saved me so much time but always gave perfect fresh and delicious meals for the family and friends.
I wondered that if it worked for me, then it might work for others, so I tested my idea at our local farmers market, and was amazed at the response. 5 years later I am still producing my award winning range of frozen curry sauces, but now we have factory production and nationwide distribution. Its been a crazy journey, but I truly believe that Spiced by Rayeesa will one day be a household name, and millions of people will get to enjoy great tasting curries at home anytime!
