The Shropshire Hills Art Week showcases the diverse and talented artists who live and work in the region, and focuses on art inspired by landscape and wildlife
Designated in 1958, the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is one of Britain’s finest landscapes, tucked between the Midlands and the Welsh uplands. The hills, rolling farmland, woods and river valleys of this varied and special landscape are rich in geology and wildlife and ingrained with heritage. Stunning views are almost taken for granted by those who live and work here, but they have long been an inspiration to writers, artists and crafts people

Jules McRobbie – Director
I am Director of Shropshire Hills Art Week, which I set up in 2014 to showcase the wonderful range of talent in this beautiful, unique area
I am also a painter, and have exhibited in both solo and group shows, in Shropshire and further afield
What inspires me
I am inspired by our wonderful landscape, our hillsides, woodlands, and particularly by our rivers. I am an open water swimmer and swim all year round, however cold!
I am inspired by other people’s creativity, which makes running SHAW very exciting for me. But it is something that I could not do without the help and support of the talented and gifted SHAW artists – for this I offer you all my thanks!
