Hi there,

I am a designer/maker of  contemporary, handmade studio glass art, home accessories, awards and, most recently, jewellery; perfect for original gifts. Some of my work is bespoke, all is unique as each piece is an original created by me.

My studio workshop is on the edge of the Shropshire Hills close to the Welsh border and you are welcome to visit, however please check before you travel as I’m not always there.

Workshops:
I run beginners glass fusing experiences; either half day ‘Tasters’ or a full day workshop; I supply all the materials, tools & equipment, you just bring yourself! Relax and unleash a little creativity, its a great stress buster.

All details are on the website. Dates online are limited however, if you have a small group (2 – 4) call me and I’ll make a day (or half day) just for you.

About Fusing Ideas Glass:
William Morris’s maxim; “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful” underpins Fusing Ideas Glass and I have made it my ‘mission’ to create visual, tactile pieces that are both usable and stylish or ‘fabulously functional’!

Colour is my driver and my glass is almost always full of it! Though occasionally I will explore monochromatic schemes. Everyone needs a little colour in their life.

My glass can be seen (and bought) online and at selected galleries, including Trumpet Corner Tearoom Gallery near Ledbury and VAN Street Gallery in Shrewsbury.

And I also show at some of the major events in the region such as:
Malvern Spring and Autumn Shows, Shrewsbury Flower Show, Showing Off (Ludlow), Gorgeous Christmas (Coalbrookdale) and Shrewsbury Christmas.

Occasionally I hold ‘Open Studio’ events and Fusing Ideas website will have details and/or you can sign up to my newsletter to keep up to date with all my news, events and workshops.

I am a member of The Contemporary Class Society, Shropshire Guild of Contemporary Craft, Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen and Shropshire Visual Arts Network. I’m also in the FSB.

And finally; I’m an enthusiastic networker, though finding it increasingly difficult to get to meetings, however I hope to meet you at a WiRE event sometime soon.

Jill
