Starting 2018 with a BANG – Leicestershire WiRE Network

2018 got off to a great start for WiRE in Leicestershire and Rutland as we were able to make a donation of £250 to Change Agents, who have been our nominated local charity for the last 12 months. WiRE is a not-for-profit organisation ran by volunteer network leaders and any surplus we make at our meetings is saved to give to charity. Pictured above is our team for Leicestershire and Rutland area (l-r) Jane Batty, Megan Allen and Claire McFadden handing over the cheque to Marissa Watts, CEO of Change Agents UK.

Marissa enjoyed the January meeting theme of setting goals and how to stick to them, hosted by Jane Batty and Ali Hutchinson and was able to confirm that they would be using our donation to put on a CV writing day for local people looking for work in sustainable industries.
