Located near the Worcestershire/Shropshire border, Rock Farm Racing Stables sought the guidance of Rural Chartered Surveyors, Farm Business and Planning Consultants, Moule & Co, to oversee their planning application which included:

  • Change of use of the existing agricultural buildings to house 60 stables, veterinary facilities, and an indoor school
  • Erection of a new accommodation building for grooms and yard staff, horse walkers, wash-down boxes and muck stores
  • Change of use of a building to a visitor reception and owner’s lounge
  • Installation of a 7-furlong (1400m) uphill all-weather gallop and a 2-furlong circular all-weather canter track

During the planning application process, some issues arose and Moule & Co approached the application in a sensitive manner, working with architects and gallop installers to devise a proposal which would be acceptable to the Local Planning Authority. They provided a complete planning service including all submission documents and their application detailed how the benefits outweighed any harm.
