In August 2012 Melanie was awarded 2 Gold Stars for her Lemon Curd at this year’s Great Taste Awards. The Lemon Curd received 2 out of a possible 3 stars which is described by the Guild of Fine Foods as a “Faultless” product. These awards are the most trusted and recognised food and drink awards. Each food entered receives feedback from a panel of over 300 judges and coveted stars are awarded.


The gold rush continued into October when Wolds Cottage Kitchen was recognised by the Chamber Bridlington and Yorkshire Coast Business Awards and received “Start Up” Business of the Year 2012. And now this leaves Melanie looking forward into 2013 as she is nominated for a Countryside Alliance Award, so fingers crossed.On Saturday 25th February 2012 Wolds Cottage Kitchen, based in Wetwang, East Yorkshire was awarded a Gold and Bronze Award for two of their Marmalades at The World’s Original Marmalade Awards at Dalemain Mansion, Cumbria.The World’s Original Marmalade Awards are now in their 7th year and this year received a record 1700 entries from around the World.

Melanie Moss, owner of Wolds Cottage Kitchen said “It is a great honour to receive these awards and be judged by such a prestigious panel of experts”.She added, “I have just celebrated my first year of business now winning these amazing awards is the icing on the cake”.
