About the Company / Business

Hi, I'm Tracy Taylor and I love creating beautiful things......

I have been ‘crafty’ all of my life and as a child was never happier than when I was drawing, colouring or gluing bits of card together.

On leaving school, I went to college and studied art but decided not to continue onto University but instead to train as an engraver and then later as a stained glass artist.

Unfortunately I was made redundant from the latter position around 1991 but was soon offered a job making the ‘Bealift’ bath aid for disabled children, a little out of my usual brief but after all these years, I do still work there part-time.



My delve into the tiara and accessory world......

Mick and I decided to tie the knot in September 2006. To offset spiralling costs (and because I am so fussy) I decided to have a go at making just about everything from the invites and table plan, to the Swarovski crystal tiaras and bouquets for my bridesmaids and the fascinators for both of our Mums.

Following the wedding, friends and family asked me to design and make items for their own occasions. I found I really enjoyed the creative experience and it was this and all of those fantastic people who have encouraged me to try to turn my self-taught talents into a business.




I took the plunge.....

In 2010 ‘Crystal Calla Tiara’ was born with the aim to offer both the elegance of traditional and vintage designs to the highly unusual for the discerning client who dares to be different!




Bespoke is also a service I offer....

I have, quite recently been commissioned to make some headpieces for a Burlesque dancer….so I’m very open to any wacky (or more moderate) ideas!




I am extremely passionate about what I do.....

I’m sure this is visible in the high, heirloom quality work I produce, if I wouldn’t wear it myself then I wouldn’t expect you to either (with the possible exception of a crystal peacock headpiece of course!)
