About the Company / Business

We believe in true beauty. The business is called Green Therapy because our beauty products are effective and therapeutic and we strive to tread lightly on the earth and be as 'green' as possible. We do this by:

Only using plant-based ingredients

We use natural or naturally derived plant-based ingredients in our products. Wherever possible, we use organic oils and we are constantly searching to upgrade our ingredients so our skincare and bodycare products are totally organic. Plant-based oils are rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids and are easily absorbed, helping to nourish and protect the skin.

We never use mineral oils. Mineral oils are derived from petroleum. They act as an occlusive ie they sit on the skin, rather than being absorbed into it.

Only using natural essential oils

We use natural essential oils to fragrance our products, organic wherever possible. Essential oils impart wonderful aromas, as well as having highly-effective therapeutic properties. All the essential oils in our products have been chosen for their fabulous smell and for their healing and skin-enhancing effects.

We never use synthetic perfumes in our products. Synthetic fragrances can cause severe allergic reactions and have no therapeutic effect on the skin.

Minimal use of preservatives

Where preservatives are used, we use the smallest amount of safe preservatives required to enhance the shelf-life for you, the customer.

We never use parabens in our products. Parabens have been known to cause allergic reactions and are reported to have oestrogen mimicking properties.

Only using natural colours

All our products are coloured by the natural plant-based ingredients we use. We never use synthetic colours.

Using ethical sources for our ingredients

We constantly monitor our supply chain process so that our ingredients come from ethical sources that do not impact on the people who produce the ingredients or the environment they are produced from.

Only testing on humans

The only animals we test on are humans. We do not use any ingredients that have been tested on other animals.

Using an ethical bank

Yes, you may be surprised to learn there is an ethical bank. We bank with Triodos who only lend money to people and businesses who want to make the world a better place, and who tell you exactly where your hard-earned cash goes.

Using minimal recyclable packaging

All of our jars and bottles are PET plastic - totally recyclable. We use the minimum amount of packaging possible. We re-use packing material and cardboard in our parcels
