About the Company / Business

Eileen graduated from the Northern College of Acupuncture in York in 2010, following a three year full time course.

She has worked within the health care profession since 1981, qualifying as Registered General Nurse in 1984 and as a Registered Midwife in 1987 subsequently working continuously as a midwife within the NHS. She is now working in East Yorkshire as a community midwife.

Her interest in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture was kindled after experiencing the benefits of this ancient therapy, being astonished to feel so much better without conventional medication. The concept of treating the whole person rather than symptoms alone making perfect sense. Since qualifying she has undertaken additional training in musculskeletal problems and acupuncture in pregnancy and child birth.
Eileen is interested in the variety of conditions benefiting from acupuncture, and has particular interest in stress and emotional disorders and given her Midwifery background, the treatment of women during pregnancy and after the birth of their baby.

She lives in a beautiful, peaceful location near Thixendale where she also runs an acupuncture clinic.
