About the Company / Business

Situated on the Shropshire Union Canal where it skirts the pretty North Shropshire town of Market Drayton, Talbot Wharf has been home to three generations of the Machin family businesses, Holidays Afloat Ltd and North Shropshire Trailers, since 1962, although Holidays Afloat was originally formed in 1951. The Wharf originally served the surrounding farms as well as the town, and has been offering moorings and services for leisure boaters since the late 1940s.
