After leaving School in 2004 I went on to study Fashion at Northumbria Uni. Having graduated and worked in retailing, I have come to understand the difficulties that recent graduates have to face in order to continue their creativity and contribute their ideas in the big wide world. By stocking a proportion of handmade products made by graduates Sophie Likes can provide a platform of support as well as showcasing design-led innovative products and designs that she has found through intense research.

Sophie Likes…hopes to capture the magic of London based market stalls such as those of Portobello Rd, Borough Market and Camden and inject this inspiration and sparkle into the local markets of the North of England. The public currently associate the common market as a place to buy local produce and weekly necessities. Sophie Likes want to change this outlook in an attempt to rebrand and convince customers that you don’t have to look in the trendy boutiques of Leeds, York or the one off gift shops located in the villages in the area to find small treasures and unique products.
