About the Company / Business

We are Roland and Miranda Ballard, a married couple compared (by Miranda's mother) to two over-excited Labrador puppies. We started Muddy Boots Real Foods Ltd in December 2008 after leaving media and film careers in London to have a crack at our dream of building a brand that shows how beef burgers should be made better. The British countryside is our greatest resource and honesty leads every decision we make in business.

We got a lucky break to appear in a BBC One television series in May 2010 called ‘High Street Dreams’ and life got even more exciting after that. Our burgers are now stocked in 34 Waitrose stores, Ocado and some independent retailers and we supply our burgers and 21 day matured steaks to restaurants as well as selling online via www.muddybootsfoodhall.co.uk.

We dream of emerging from the Worcestershire countryside a national and reliable brand in quality, ethically farmed food.
